A.K. Nairn

A.K. Nairn was born and bred in Duns, in the Scottish Borders. He grew up fascinated by the bloody history of this now sleepy region. In particular, he was drawn to the tale of a French diplomat, who was given the thankless job of keeping order on the frontier. He felt that this poor man deserved better, so wrote The Trail of Blood to give him some belated time in the sun. Or at least in the icy wind and rain. The second book in the series will be out in 2025.
